Crappy Monday

My day didn't start off on a bright note that is for sure.  But, I did my Energy and RHC sessions not too long ago and I feel so much better.  I am finding that DDPYoga is a big stress reliever for me.  My sessions have totally reversed my bad, crappy mood into a much better and positive mood.  An awesome afternoon is in store for me.  Happy Monday.

Saturday Morning Yoga

Okay, so it has been a couple weeks since I have done my DDPYoga sessions.  I went to Steamboat for a few days, then injured several toes while doing laundry, and the list of excuses could keep going, but I will stop here.  I finally got my session in this morning and my body is very thankful.

This upcoming week, I am going to be adding Fat Burner into my weekly sessions along with Energy and RHC.  Have to admit, I am a little terrified of the Fat Burner - I have done it once, very intimidating  - but I need to start incorporating that one into my weekly sessions.  I would like to look somewhat normal by the time Christmas rolls around and I fly to NY to seeing my brand new little niece.  This will be great for me.

Peace out for now!

Letting Go!!

I had an awesome DDPYoga session this morning.  I did Energy and RHC and both kicked my ass into the ground as usual (awesome feeling).  Each time I do a DDPYoga session, I feel I let go of a lot of the bad, negative energy that surrounds me due to family, job, neighbors or whatever else is going on at the time.  My self-esteem is growing more positive every day and I am becoming more confident in life as a whole.  I am becoming more aware of staying true to myself.  Meaning, I am not letting others influence my decisions on any level of my life.  I am believing in who I am more and more and what I can accomplish out of life - work, relationships, family, friends, etc.  I am "owning my life" so to speak and it feels great.  I know that I am going to keep evolving into a better and more positive person as I do DDPYoga and continue to let go of everything.  Keep it positive!!!

Yoga

After three days of nothing but yard work, I did the fat burner and RHC of DDPYoga this morning.  It felt great to get my body stretched out from getting my yard and gardens cleaned up from weeds.  I didn't realize how sore I was until I did my sessions this morning.  I feel a whole lot better.  Awesome day today.

Lawn vs DDPYoga

On any given day, DDPYoga would definitely win over mowing the yard.  But, today my lawn needed a major cut.  I am way super worn out to do yoga now.  I have to say that my lawn looks way better now though.

Back to work!

I finally got in a DDPYoga session after almost 2 weeks down due to a major head and chest cold.  It felt good to get my body back in it again.  My body feels so much better after every session that I do.  RHC was a challenge as usual, but I am getting there slowly.

Awesome morning.

Derailed

I have realized today that timing is everything with yoga - or any kind of yoga for that matter.  I have been down with a major head and chest cold the last week in a half.  I have been able to hear or breathe due to all the congestion inside of me.  I feel derailed a little bit with my DDPYoga workouts because of my cold.  But, I got a little reminder from JJ today that shit happens and things always don't go as planned.  I am feeling much better today so tomorrow morning will definitely be a yoga morning.  I am taking a break from swimming until after the new year.  I can't afford to get sick again before Christmas due to Lindsay being pregnant and being due at Christmas.  So yoga and bike riding are it for now and possibly a walk/hike or two in between.  All is good.

Peace Out!!

Sunday Yoga

Today's Energy was a bit of a struggle for me.  Just a bit tired and a little off my game this morning.  In some ways RHC is getting a touch easier, in most other ways, it is still a huge challenge.  I know my flexibility will come with time, but I wish it the time was now.  I just need some patience to get thru the tough stuff on RHC.  But, I am slowly getting there and my back is feeling much better because of it.

Peace Out!

RHC

The Red Hot Core session today after the Fat Burner totally kicked my ass into the ground this morning, but my back is feeling way better and I am able to move around without hurting which is a great thing.  I am very happy I have decided to take the DDPYoga Challenge because 1. I was running out of options on how to heal back my naturally without surgery,  2. I am getting the positive support that is needed with a weight loss program and getting in shape,  3. I feel better overall with more energy and I am sleeping better at night, plus it is cooler outside which helps out a lot as well and 4. this is the first time I am actually making a commitment to my overall well being.

DDPYoga

I have done another round of DDPYoga this morning.  I did the fat burner and the RHC.  I have noticed that the fat burner is getting easier, although it is still a challenge, but very happy with the progress on that session.  RHC was a pain in the ass as usual.  On the positive side, my back gets really stretched out with the RHC and I really like that.  I know with time, consistency, and a lot of patience, I will conquer the RHC session with flying colors.  (I just need a little time to get there!)

Peace Out!

Support - Team DDPYoga

Since joining Team DDPYoga, I have had a ton of support from a lot of people.  I just want to thank you all for helping me out in this humble beginning of mine.  I know this journey will be a lifetime journey, but I am very excited about being a part of DDPYoga and its community.

I have a swim session tomorrow morning then doing a Red Hot Core session when I get home.  Stay tuned for a follow up.

Goals

This afternoon I will be making some interval goals of where I want to be with my weight and with DDPYoga.  This will be a brutally honest session for me, but it does need to get done.  More with this subject later.

DDPYoga Session

I added the Red Hot Core to my Fat Burner session today.  Yeah, the Red Hot Core sucked for me royally.  I couldn't get 80% of it done due to the lack of flexibility and zero abdominal muscles.  This one is going to be a huge challenge/chore for me to accomplish.  I will be doing the Red Hot Core after every yoga session now.  I completely suck at this.  Not good.

Swim

I hit the pool this morning for a workout.  It was a struggle this morning for sure.  I swam for 40 minutes and I am totally beat now.  Totally worth it to wake up early and to get it knocked out all before 8 am.  Days when I struggle completely suck.  Hopefully Thursday will be a better day at the pool.  Tomorrow is DDPYoga and so is Friday.

Rested

Now that my body has rested from a week of DDPYoga and swimming and yard work, it is time to get back into the swing of things first thing in the morning.  My body needs to get stretched out and worked out for sure.

No dairy starts tomorrow and no sodas start Tuesday.  Sprouts will be seeing me at some point tomorrow.

Journals/Blog

Today is a day of writing in journals and my yoga blog.  Since starting DDPYoga, I am noticing more opportunities arising and opening up.  And I am also opening up and breaking down walls that I have built up for years.  It has been really nice to get broken down a bit to build myself up again in more positive ways.  My head and heart are a lot clearer now with getting negative feelings out thru yoga and writing in my journals.  I didn't realize I had this stuff inside me that needs to get out and be dealt with.  DDPYoga could not have come at a better time for me.  This is a commitment that was absolutely necessary for me to move on in my life.

What Inspires Me?

What inspires me is very easy.  I have a niece and two nephews and one more niece will be born at the end of December.  These little people of mine inspire me every day.  And each one has their own awesome little personalities.  I have a lot of fun watching them grow up and become themselves in this crazy world of ours.  They are the best people to be around because of their innocence and how the little things make them happy.  I am very happy to be their Aunt Erin.  Pure awesomeness at its best for sure when I am around my niece and nephews.

Schedule

I think I may have my schedule/routine finally down.  DDPYoga 3 days a week along with a bike ride, swimming 2 days a week, mowing the yard one day a week, and then a day off (possibly a yoga day).  I may throw in a hike or two during the week as well depending on work.

I am a little sore after today's swim.  Totally expected though.  My legs were like jello when I finally got out after 45 minutes.  I then went to see my chiropractor and got nice and cracked all over my back and neck.  It felt great.  Now that I am adjusted and my work out is over, it is time to actually get some work done.

Peace Out!

Yoga Session - Fear!

I did my DDPYoga session this morning and now it is time to spend some time gardening.  I have some fresh veggies to pick.  I have a lot of fear knocking at the door right now and I am not sure how to handle it.  The fear I have is letting go of drinking sodas and consuming dairy.  I know once I stop doing both of these, I will start losing weight along with doing DDPYoga, and once the weight drops, how will I be perceived?  How will people look at me?  Will my family finally stop judging me on every aspect of my life?

Fear is an ugly beast.

Sunday Yoga

Did my yoga session this morning and totally felt it from start to finish.  I am going to be posting my goals and some photos this upcoming week.  My soda intake stops today.  Dairy intake will stop by Friday.  But, one goal is to lose 100 lbs by August 1, 2014, if not sooner.  I am also incorporating swimming twice a week in conjunction with DDPYoga.  Living in Denver, there are numerous opportunities to go hiking once a week as well.  More updates this week.

Day 2 - Swim

Decided to swim today.  I am more sore than I thought I was going to be after swimming laps today.  DDPYoga is tomorrow's workout.

Profile

I just updated my profile.  I will add more later, but I think this will work for now.  Still learning how to use a blog.  It is fun learning new things.

DDP Yoga Challenge

I am starting the DDP Yoga challenge here very soon (as soon as I get my yoga package from DDP Yoga).  I look forward to this challenge.  I have heard a lot of positive things about DDPYoga.
